The Philadelphia Eagles (8-4) have lost two straight after falling to the Chicago Bears(9-3) 24-15 at Lincoln Financial Field on Black Friday.
With the loss, the Eagles are now the third seed in the NFC.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate Philly’s ‘Big 3’ and their outstanding performances on Sunday:
A.J. Brown had his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game. Brown had 10 receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

Honorable Mention:
Jalyx Hunt posted his second interception of the year in the third quarter.
End of the Day:
We know that the Bears have been very good this season, but the Eagles should have won this game.
However, when you give up 281 rushing yards, including two touchdowns, it’s hard to win in the NFL. That being said, the defense did keep the Eagles in the game; the offense was once again anemic. They punted the ball six times, including four three-outs, and with the talent that’s on the offense, that’s unacceptable.
Jalen Hurts (19/34, 230 yards, two touchdowns, interception, fumble) had two big turnovers, including a fumble in Bears’ territory when the Eagles had a chance to take their first lead in the third quarter, and they lost the turnover battle for the second consecutive week.
Not sure if it’s Hurts or OC Kevin Patullo, but whatever it is, the offense has to get fixed.
Are we going to see a collapse like the one in 2023? It’s possible. When the team collapsed in 2023, the defense was one of the biggest reasons. After starting the 2023 season 10-1 defensively, the Eagles couldn’t stop anybody, losing five of their final six regular-season games. Ultimately, they would get blown out by the Buccaneers in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
Two weeks ago, many said the Eagles’ defense was elite, and at the time, it appeared that they were elite. What a difference two weeks make.
Can they turn it around? The talent is there to turn it around. The Eagles have not played a complete game in 2025, and every week we keep asking when that will happen. Maybe it just won’t happen.
Fortunately, they have five games to get it right.
What’s Next:
The Eagles travel to Los Angeles to play the Chargers next Monday night.
One More Thing…
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni made it clear after the game that Patullo will continue to call the plays.
“No, we’re not changing the play caller, but we will evaluate everything,” he said. “This weekend, we’ll have another little mini-bye. Another short week that leads to a long weekend where we’ll evaluate everything. But again, like I said after that, it’s never just about one person. You win as a team, you lose as a team, and you try to evaluate everything, win, lose or draw and get better from it.”
