Johnson, 23, sustained the injury on Jan. 23 in Atlanta’s loss to Toronto. According to the team, he is scheduled to undergo surgery next week and is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the 2025-26 season. This season, Johnson, who agreed to a five–year, $150 million contract extension in October, averaged 18.9 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.
