Freddie Roach: ‘Everyone’s paid’

Earlier this week, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach told the world that he has not been paid for Pacquiao’s fight against Jeff Horn on July 1.

Roach told Sports Illustrated the following:

“I really don’t know if he’s mad at me. But I can tell you this: I haven’t been paid yet. So who knows?”

Pacquiao told the world that he has not received payment from Bob Arum for the Horn fight, and it was Arum’s responsibility to pay Roach.

However, Bob Arum told Ringtv on Thursday: “All of this is truly, truly a non-issue. Everybody has the money they are entitled to, end of the story!”

When asked by TMZ Sports if he received payment for the Horn fight, Roach said: “Everyone’s paid.”

I guess all is well with Pacquiao, Roach, and Arum.

When asked about Pacquiao’s future, Roach told TMZ Sports: “I would like to see him maybe fight a rematch with Horn. Otherwise, retire.”

Pacquiao, 38, should exercise his rematch clause and fight Horn again. He can still make decent money in a very winnable fight. We may have seen the best of Pacquiao, but he can still beat Jeff Horn!
