There were some familiar faces at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia for the first annual MLBx: All-Star 3-on-3, including Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, and Shane Victorino.
The event, which replaced the Celebrity Softball Game during MLB All-Star Week, featured legends, celebrity athletes, and AUSL (Athletes Unlimited Softball League) stars.
Team Victorino, led by Victorino and featuring AUSL star Rachel Garcia and rapper Eladio Carrión, defeated Team Howard in the finals to win the event.
Garcia was named MVP.
In this event, there were four teams, and teams accumulated points by hitting home runs and making defensive plays in the field.
Team Howard, which Howard led, included AUSL star Alyssa Brito and Philadelphia Eagles LT Jordan Mailata.
Team Rollins, led by Rollins, included softball star Tiare Jennings and Hall of Fame WR Terrell Owens.
Finally, the Atlanta Braves, which Hall of Famer Andruw Jones led, featured AUSL star NiJaree Canady and actor/singer Antonio Cipriano.
In the semifinals, Team Howard defeated Team Rollins, while Team Victorino was victorious over the Atlanta Braves.
