Sparks dismiss GM Raegan Pebley

On Sunday, the Los Angeles Sparks announced that they have agreed to part ways with General Manager Raegan Pebley.

In the interim, GM duties will be shared by Assistant GMs Zach Knowlton and Nate Nielsen.

“We are grateful to Raegan for her leadership and commitment to the Los Angeles Sparks and women’s basketball,” said Managing Partner and Governor Eric Holoman in a statement. “Her work on the Sparks roster and player experience will have a lasting positive impact on our organization. We sincerely thank her for all she has invested in the Sparks and wish her success in her next chapter.”

Pebley, who played in the WNBA and spent many years as a college coach, including nine seasons at TCU, was hired as GM by the Sparks on January 5, 2024. During her time with the Sparks, Los Angeles did not make the playoffs and had a record of 39-66.

This season, the Sparks are 10-11 and are one game out of the eighth and final playoff spot.

Los Angeles returns to action on Monday when they go on the road to face the Atlanta Dream.
