On Monday, the Atlanta Hawks made it official that they have acquired guard Aaron Wiggins from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for two future second-round draft picks.
Wiggins, who gave OKC a big lift off the bench, saw action in 65 games (21 starts) during the 2025-26 season, tallying 9.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 21.8 minutes of play.
The No. 55 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft made his 100th career start on April 12, 2026, against the Phoenix Suns, becoming just the third player drafted in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft to make 100 starts, joining Herb Jones (287) and Ayo Dosunmu (173).
The 27-year-old has appeared in 339 career games (100 starts), owning averages of 8.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 20.3 minutes (.487 FG%, .380 3FG%, .784 FT%). Wiggins’ .380 clip from three-point territory is the eighth-highest amongst all active players who were drafted in the second round and the fourth-best mark amongst all members of his draft class.
A 2025 NBA Champion, Wiggins has seen action in 45 playoff games across three postseason runs, averaging 4.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11.9 minutes. The six-year veteran appeared in all seven games of the 2025 NBA Finals, knocking down a playoff career-high five three-pointers, in addition to recording 18 points (6-11 FGM, 5-8 3FGM), four rebounds, one assist, and one steal in a Game 2 victory over the Indiana Pacers.
