On Saturday, at Coca-Cola Park, which is the home of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith had his 5th annual celebrity softball game.
A few of Smith’s Eagles teammates were in attendance, including quarterback Jalen Hurts, Dallas Goedert, Jordan Mailata, Brandon Graham, and Jalyx Hunt.
The Red team, led by Smith, Hurts, and Goedert, would defeat the Blue team, and Goedert was named the game’s MVP.
Before the game, there was the Home Run Derby, which Hunt won.
Green was the color of the day; the stadium was filled with Eagles fans who could interact with their favorite players, and, more importantly, some of the game’s proceeds went to charity.
Smith loves this event and how it brings people together.
“I think it had a big impact on just bringing people together,” he said. ”Giving them time to spend time with each other… Just the vibe here, the time that people have, and I feel like everyone enjoys seeing guys; they think they’re the best athletes, and then they come play softball.”
Here are some sights and sounds from a great day at Coca-Cola Park:
