The Memphis Grizzlies have signed forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper to a multi-year contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
According to reports, it’s a two-year deal.
The three-year veteran signed a two-way deal with the Grizzlies in September and now he has a standard NBA contract with the team.
Prosper has appeared in 36 games (seven starts) for the Grizzlies this season and has averaged 7.6 points on 54.1 shooting and 3.1 rebounds in 15.8 minutes
The 23-year-old has recorded 14.0 points on 67.5 shooting in 24.3 minutes over his last nine contests, including a career-high 25-point performance on Feb. 7 at Portland.
Selected with the 24th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Marquette, the Montreal native has competed in 128 career regular season games (12 starts) and has averaged 4.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11.6 minutes in three seasons with the Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks.
Rupert signs two-way deal:
The Grizzlies also announced on Wednesday that they had signed forward Rayan Rupert to a two-way contract.
Rupert, 21, has appeared in five games as a reserve for the Grizzlies and has averaged 10.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.6 steals in 26.6 minutes since signing a 10-day contract on Feb. 22. The 21-year-old has played 53 games this season for the Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers.
A native of Strasbourg, France, Rupert has competed in 144 career regular season games (12 starts) and has averaged 3.5 points and 1.9 rebounds in 12.5 minutes in three seasons with the Grizzlies and Trail Blazers. He was drafted by Portland with the 43rd overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft following one season with the New Zealand Breakers of the National Basketball League (NBL) in Australia.
