An interesting name has been added to the Pro Bowl on Monday.
Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders was named to the 2026 Pro Bowl Games.
Sanders will replace Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who will be unavailable after leading New England to the Super Bowl.
The 23-year-old Sanders is the first Browns quarterback to make the Pro Bowl since Derek Anderson in 2007, and he’s only the seventh Browns rookie to earn this honor, the first since Denzel Ward in 2018.
This season, the fifth-round pick started the final seven games of the season for the Browns and won three games, including the final two. He passed for 1,400 yards with seven touchdowns, but he had 10 interceptions.
While it’s clear Sanders, who is the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, is not a Pro Bowler, he is one of the most popular rookies in the NFL, and the Pro Bowl needs a jolt of energy, and maybe Sanders will help with that.
For the first time, the 2026 Pro Bowl Games will move to Super Bowl LX Week in the San Francisco Bay Area. The flag football game will take place at San Francisco’s Moscone Center South Building on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
