Vick to be inducted into Virginia Sports Hall of Fame

Michael Vick is going into another Hall of Fame!

Just days after being enshrined in the National Football Foundation (NFF) College Football Hall of Fame, it was announced on Wednesday that Vick was selected to the 2026 Virginia Sports Hall of Fame Class.

He will be inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in April. Vick joins a 2026 induction class that includes Tony Bennett, Terry Driscoll, Grant Hill, Roland Lazenby, Kristi Tolliver, Wally Walker, and Boo Williams.

The 45-year-old Vick, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft, rose to national prominence during his standout collegiate career at Virginia Tech from 1999-2001, a tenure that led to his jersey retirement and later an accomplished NFL career.

During his two seasons as the Hokies’ starting quarterback, Virginia Tech posted a remarkable 22-2 record, capturing a Big East title and reaching the BCS National Championship Game in his redshirt freshman campaign.

That season, Vick delivered one of the greatest freshman performances in college football history, finishing third in Heisman Trophy voting, still the highest finish ever by a Virginia Tech player. He threw for 1,840 yards and 12 touchdowns, earning All-America recognition from The Sporting News and Football News while leading the Hokies to an undefeated regular season.
