Fundora injures hand, fight with Thurman postponed

WBC Super Welterweight World Champion Sebastian Fundora suffered a hand contusion in sparring and his title defense against former unified champion Keith Thurman, which was scheduled for October 25, has been postponed.

In the co-main event, two-division world champion Stephen Fulton Jr., the reigning WBC Featherweight World Champion, was to move up to take on WBC Super Featherweight World Champion O’Shaquie Foster in a 130-pound world title fight.

The lineup was also to feature rising Mexican star Jesus “Mono” Ramos Jr. in a high-stakes duel against top contender Shane Mosley Jr. for the Interim WBC Middleweight Title.

Also, Isaac “La Bestia” Lucero was scheduled to face Roberto Valenzuela Jr. in an all-Mexican 154-pound showdown.

According to Dan Rafael, Ramos-Shane Mosley Jr. & Isaac Lucero-Roberto Valenzuela Jr. bouts from Fundora-Thurman PPV undercard likely will now be on the Isaac Cruz-Lamont Roach pay-per-view undercard, along with Alimkhanuly Janibek-Erislandy Lara 160 unification as the co-feature.

Furthermore, this card was to feature the return of Frank Martin.

According to PBC, details on the rescheduled date for the bout will be announced soon.
