Winning a Super Bowl requires a team effort, and the Eagles were fortunate to have key contributions from various players, including promising defensive tackle, Moro Ojomo.
Last season, the seventh-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft made significant contributions to the team late in the season and into the postseason.
Ojomo’s performance in the playoffs was particularly noteworthy, with a sack in the divisional round. In the NFC Championship Game, Ojomo had three tackles, including one for loss. and he had two tackles, including a tackle for loss, in the Super Bowl.
In total, Ojomo had one sack, seven tackles, including three tackles for loss in the postseason.
With Milton Williams moving to the Patriots in the offseason, Ojomo is set to step into a larger role with the Eagles in 2025. His potential and the team’s optimism for his future are reasons for Eagles fans to feel hopeful.
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio expects Ojomo to have success for Philadelphia.
“Yeah, I think Mo [DT Moro Ojomo] did a good job last year in the reps he got his reps will kick up this year,” Fangio said. “I think Milton’s reps will be divided up between him. Jordan playing more. We’ll see what Ty can do, see what BY can do, Gabe can do, and [DT Thomas Booker]. So I think it will be more of a committee eating up those reps than just one guy. But back to your question, I’m very happy with Mo, was happy with him last year and I expect him to play good for us.”
We’ll learn a lot about Ojomo as he enters his third season in the league. His role will be bigger. It is easier to shine in a limited role, but it becomes more challenging when you have a larger one.
Hopefully, for the Eagles, Ojomo gets the job done.
