The highly anticipated debut of the Dallas Mavericks Summer League, led by the number one overall pick Cooper Flagg, is set to ignite the basketball court against Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers on July 10 in Las Vegas.
On Thursday, the Mavericks unveiled the complete roster for its Las Vegas Summer League team.
The team will feature rookie guards Ryan Nembhard and Miles Kelly, both of whom signed two-way deals with Dallas.
Nembhard led the nation in assists (9.8 apg) for Gonzaga last season, while Kelly helped Auburn join Flagg’s Duke Blue Devils in the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four. Dallas’ roster also includes Melvin Ajinça, the No. 51 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, who will compete in Las Vegas for the second straight year.
Mavericks assistant coach Josh Broghamer, who is entering his third season, will serve as the head coach of the club’s summer league squad.
After the opener against the Lakers, Dallas will face a new challenge as they go up against No. 2 overall pick Dylan Harper and the San Antonio Spurs on July 12. The Mavericks will then confront a trio of Flagg’s former teammates (Kon Knueppel, Sion James, Liam McNeeley) when they take on the Charlotte Hornets on July 14. On July 16, Dallas will square off against No. 3 overall pick VJ Edgecombe and the Philadelphia 76ers, before the team’s fifth game is determined.
