Memphis Grizzlies rookie forward Jaylen Wells will likely miss the rest of the season, the team announced on Friday.
On Tuesday in Charlotte, the 21-year-old Wells fractured his right wrist and sustained a concussion and facial laceration in a hard fall following a fast-break dunk in the second quarter of the Grizzlies’ game against the Hornets.
This season, the second-round pick averaged 10.4 points and 3.4 rebounds.
The Grizzlies will finish off the season on Sunday when they host the Dallas Mavericks.
