Unified WBA, WBO, and Ring magazine Minimumweight World Champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (11-0, 8 KOs) will defend his WBO title for the fifth time and his WBA and Ring magazine titles for the first time against Querétaro, Mexico’s Edwin “Canito” Cano (13-2-1, 4 KOs) on the undercard of the rematch between William Zepeda (31-0, 26 KOs) and former IBF Super Featherweight Champion Tevin Farmer (33-7-1, 8 KOs) on March 29 at Poliforum Benito Juárez in Cancún, Mexico(DAZN).
“I’m happy and grateful to have our fifth defense and first fight of 2025,” said Collazo. “I’m thankful to Miguel Cotto Promotions and Golden Boy for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent in Cancún and connect with different fan bases. We will make the most of this opportunity and show once again that we are the best in the 105-pound division in the world.”
“I’m very happy to fight for a world title in my country,” said Cano. “I’m very focused on giving a great fight.”
Also on the card, Joselito “El Huracán” Velázquez (20-1-1, 13 KOs) will face a soon-to-be-announced opponent in a 10-round flyweight bout. Making his Golden Boy debut, Robin “Robz” Safar (17-0, 12 KOs) of Las Vegas will take on Roberto Silva (13-3, 7 KOs) of Houston, Texas in a 10-round cruiserweight fight.
Opening the DAZN broadcast with a high-stakes women’s bout, former three-division world champion and five-time titleholder Yokasta Valle (32-3, 10 KOs) of San José, Costa Rica, will collide with U.S. Olympian and former Unified Flyweight World Champion Marlen Esparza (15-2, 1 KO) of Houston, Texas, in a 10-round flyweight showdown.
