The Philadelphia Eagles (9-2) won their seventh straight after defeating the Los Angeles Rams (4-6) 37-20 at SoFi Stadium.
With the win, Philadelphia has a 2.5 game lead over the Commanders(7-5) for the top spot in the NFC East.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate Philly’s ‘Big 3’ and their outstanding performances on Sunday:
MVP, MVP, MVP: Saquon Barkley remains a dominant force for the Eagles. He finished the game with a career and franchise-high 255 rushing yards on 26 carries and two rushing touchdowns.
He had runs of 70 and 72 yards.
In addition, Barkley recorded 47 receiving yards and finished with 302 total yards, the most in team history. He eclipsed 1,500+ scrimmage yards for the season (1,602), making him the fastest player to reach the milestone through the first 11 games with a new team in NFL history, and It is also the most by any player in franchise history through the first 11 games of a season.
-In possibly his last game in the NFL, Eagles DE Brandon Graham was a force. He had one sack and two tackles for loss. Unfortunately, Graham left in the fourth with what turned out to be a torn triceps. He announced after the game that he done for the season.
-A.J. Brown had six catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. He leads all Eagle receivers with 739 yards.
Honorable mention:
Milton Williams had a single-game career-high two sacks and notched his second-career force fumble. He did a great job of getting after Matthew Stafford.
End of the Day:
The Eagles have a blueprint. Barkley continues to chew up yards, the defense continues to be solid, and Jalen Hurts continues to protect the football. They keep wearing teams down week after week.
Going forward, the 36-year-old Graham, who was playing at a high level, will be missed on and off the field.
Back to Barkley, he is the league MVP at this point and is on pace to go over 2,000 yards this season. If he stays healthy and continues playing at this level, he will grab the league MVP position.
