Vikings trade Booth to Dallas for Wright

The Minnesota Vikings acquired CB Nahshon Wright from the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for third-year CB Andrew Booth Jr, the teams announced on Friday.

Wright, who was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round (99th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft, has appeared in 32 games, including three starts, in his first three seasons in the league, while the 23-year-old Booth, who was selected in the second round by Minnesota in 2022, appeared in 23 games with the team, which included two starts.

Both Wright and Booth have been disappointments for their respective teams, and maybe a change of scenery will help these two players be successful going forward.

During the 2022 season, the 25-year-old Wright recorded single season bests in total tackles (23) and passes defensed (four), despite playing in just seven games (two starts). The fifth-year corner saw action in 12 matchups in 2023 after beginning the season on injured reserve and made his postseason debut against the Green Bay Packers.
