Trainer Brian McIntyre charged with possession of firearm in England

Boxing training Brian “Bomac” McIntyre has recently been on top of the boxing world. McIntyre trains undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford, who stopped Errol Spence in July.

On Saturday at AO Arena in Manchester, England, McIntyre was in Chris Eubank Jr.’s corner for his rematch against Liam Smith; Eubank would stop Smith in the 10th round in his first fight with his new trainer.

On his way back to America, McIntyre, whose flight was headed to Atlanta, was arrested at Manchester Airport in England on Sunday morning. The 53-year-old was charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.
