On Thursday, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced its roster for the NBA Summer League that will compete in Las Vegas, July 7-17.
The 2023 summer league team will feature Cavaliers guard Sam Merrill, 2023 second-round draft pick Emoni Bates, and 2022 Cavaliers second-round draft picks Isaiah Mobley, Luke Travers, and Khalifa Diop.
The team will include two players from last season’s Cleveland Charge team, Sharife Cooper and Devontae Shuler.
In addition, some familiar names will be on the roster, North Carolina’s Pete Nance(Exhibit 10 Deal), who is the son of former Cavs star Larry Nance and the brother of another former Cavs forward, Larry Nance Jr.
Also, Arizona’s Cedric Henderson Jr., whose dad, Cedric Henderson Sr, played four seasons for the Cavs, will be on the team.
Cavaliers Player Development Coach Josh Broghamer will lead the team during the five-game schedule.
