One of the biggest storylines leading up to the fight between WBA 135-pound regular champion1 Gervonta Davis, and 130-pound WBA champion Leo Santa Cruz, is whether Davis would make the 130-pound weight limit for this fight, and on Friday, he answered that question. Davis weighed in at 129.8 pounds, and Santa Cruz came in at 129.5 pounds.
The two combatants will battle it out on Saturday night at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas(Showtime pay-per-view). Both belts will be on the line in this fight. Davis is the favorite, but expect Santa Cruz to be very competitive.
