The Giants were awarded second-year corner Shakial Taylor off waivers. The 23-year-old Taylor was released yesterday by the Denver Broncos.

Taylor played in five games last season for the Indianapolis Colts, who signed him as a rookie free agent. He was credited with seven tackles (six solo) and one pass defensed. Taylor made his NFL debut at Kansas City on Oct. 6. His last game was his most productive; he had five tackles (four solo) vs. Jacksonville on Nov. 17.

Taylor was waived by the Colts on Nov. 25 and was awarded the following day to Denver. He did not play in any games for the Broncos.

Taylor played in 21 games at the University of Kansas in 2017-18 after transferring from Mesa Community College. His totals with the Jayhawks included 55 tackles (46 solo), three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), eight passes defensed and one forced fumble.
