Former Eagles QB Nick Foles will always hold a special place in the hearts of the fans of Philadelphia. Foles did something that had never been done by an Eagles’ quarterback, and that is a win a Super Bowl, which he did back in the 2017 season.
That was then; this is now. Foles has moved on from Philadelphia after signing a four-year, $88 million deal with the Jaguars back in March, and while you can take Foles out of Philly, you can’t take the Philly out of Foles.
When asked what it meant for him to get the Eagles their first Super Bowl victory, Foles had this to say.
“It’s super emotional to be a part of that city,” Foles said on Thursday at Jaguars training camp. “Everyone knows how I feel about Philadelphia. I love Philadelphia. I will always love Philadelphia, I will always admire the Eagles organization, and they know that.
“I still have a lot of those people that always text me, they reported to camp, they were texting me, and that’s great. But what’s so exciting is there’s not many players that are blessed to play with an organization like that, that have never won one, and then they’re blessed to go to another organization that has always strived for that.”
There was a lot of heartbreak for the Eagles before that Super Bowl victory, but after winning a title, life is good for Eagles fans, and it’s all because of the greatness of Nick Foles in Super Bowl 52.
