Ex-Eagle Hugh Douglas on Foles: ‘I would stay in Philly’

When Carson Wentz went down with a torn ACL against the Rams back in Week 14, many experts around the NFL thought it was over for the Eagles.

However, the Eagles had Nick Foles, and he played good in the playoffs against the Falcons, great against the Vikings, and great against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52, which helped the Eagles beat the Patriots 41-33.

What’s next for Nick Foles?

According to former Eagles DE Hugh Douglas, Foles should stay in Philly:

“To be truthful, I would stay in Philly because nobody is going to treat you like they treat you in Philadelphia,” Douglas told TMZ Sports. “But if you are looking to get that big pay check, man. Go to a team that’s going to pay you the most money. You have a chance to be a starter if that’s what’s in your heart.”

Douglas did acknowledge that Foles’ value will not be any higher than it is right now:

“Nick Foles should go get paid,” he said. “He’s not going to be any hotter than he is right now. He’s the MVP of the Super Bowl; go get paid.”

If he can, Foles should try to get paid. He does have one year left on his contract with the Eagles, so the team has control of his future for now.

Should be a fun next few months in Philly!
