Errol Spence Jr. handled his business on Saturday night by stopping Lamont Peterson in eight rounds at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday night to retain his IBF welterweight title.
After the fight, Spence took the time to call out WBC and WBA welterweight titleholder Keith Thurman.
“Everybody knows I’ve been waiting on “Some Time” Thurman,” said Spence, looking ahead to a possible unification match with WBC and WBA Welterweight World Champion Keith Thurman. “Since I was 15-0 I’ve been calling this guy out and he keeps making excuses.”
