Actor Jay Hunter(Ian) loves the fans of ‘If Loving You Is Wrong’

Actor Jay Hunter is a newcomer to Tyler Perry’s hit show “If Loving You Is Wrong.” Hunter, who plays the character, Ian, has received a lot of attention from the show’s fans last season. Hunter loves the fans, and appreciates the support:

“Big shout out to the fans, man. We love you. If it wasn’t for the fans, obviously we wouldn’t have a show,” Hunter told Paul Gant. “So, the fact that they get all into it, man, we really appreciate it, man. And it’s kind of gives us a nice gauge, too. Because the fans, that’s our audience, they’re the ones that kind of keep us in check. They see certain things coming, or whatever. You know people like to chime in on social media and stuff like that. And let us know what they’re thinking, and we appreciate it.”

Tyler Perry and “If Loving You Is Wrong” have a lot of fans, and according to Hunter, some are very serious about the show:

“Put it like this; there’s certain fans that you would swear that lived on the block right behind the block that we all live on; on the show. But, you know, in a way, it’s kind of good. That means they’re really getting into the show,” Hunter said. “That says something about the cast and Tyler Perry putting it all together, and keeping it interesting to where the fans want to be apart of it. They want to feel like they live down the street from everybody, and around the corner.”

Hunter will have a prominent role in the next season of “If Loving You Is Wrong,” which is set to debut on Wednesday, January 10, on OWN. Will Hunter’s character, Ian, have any drama this season? Hunter did not say, but you get the sense his character might be involved in something:

“Listen, I can’t really say anything about that. I don’t think so. I like to say if I(Ian) did get dirty it would be an accident,” Hunter explained. “It would be misguided. Ian, he’s the type of guy that will try to do the right thing, for now anyway. Maybe if you rub him the wrong way I(Ian) can get dirty if need to. I’m(Ian) trying to do the right thing, so far.”
