Carl Frampton thinks Conor McGregor beats Paulie Malignaggi in boxing match

Conor McGregor fought well against Floyd Mayweather last Saturday night in Las Vegas. McGregor was able to last a long time before being stopped by Mayweather in the 10th round.

Ireland’s Carl Frampton was very impressed by McGregor’s performance against Mayweather:

“McGregor should not be embarrassed; that was a great performance. He done well. Gassed, his engine, but it’s his first fight,” Frampton told TMZ Sports. “He steps in, most guys in their first professional boxing fight go four-rounds, six-rounds, first fight, 12-rounds against the greatest fighter in my generation. Yeah, I’m impressed.”

Frampton thinks McGregor might stay in boxing, and may even fight Paulie Malignaggi.

“There’s more money in boxing for him,” Frampton said.  “I think he fights Paulie Malignaggi.”

Based on McGregor’s performance against Mayweather, Frampton favors McGregor over Malignaggi.

If McGregor were to stay in boxing, Malignaggi is the perfect opponent. Malignaggi does not have a lot of pop(7 KOs in 44 fights), and McGregor is familiar with him. It’s a winnable fight for McGregor, and another opportunity to make decent money.
