Report: Ryan Tannehill may need season ending surgery

According ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill may need season-ending knee surgery. The 29-year-old quarterback’s left knee buckled while scrambling during practice on Thursday.

Tannehill, who had a partially torn ACL in his left knee last season, could possibly rest his knee and try to come back during the season, or have season ending surgery, according to the report.

Currently, Matt Moore is the backup QB for Miami. The team reportedly may have some interest in free agent QB Colin Kaepernick or Jay Cutler. The recently retired Culter worked with Dolphins head coach Adam Gase in Chicago, and could be a natural fit in Miami.
