Floyd Mayweather will fight UFC star Conor McGregor on August 26 in Las Vegas, NV at T-Mobile Arena.
Mayweather announced the fight via Twitter.
The fight will air on Showtime pay-per-view.
According TMZ Sports, UFC’s Dana White said the fight will be a 12-round boxing match. Both fighters will use 10-ounce gloves. They will fight at 154 pounds. Mayweather Promotions will handle the undercard.
The 40-year-old Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) will be fighting for the first time since 2015 when he defeated Andre Berto.
Conor McGregor, 28, will be making his pro boxing debut.
No word on the money for each fighter, but White told TMZ Sports that he expects McGregor to make around $100 million for the fight.
