Oscar Robertson on Westbrook: ‘I don’t think any of these guards can beat him on a one-on-one game.’

Russell Westbrook is chasing the single season triple-double record held by Oscar Robertson. The record was set in the 1961-62 season.  Robertson gave ESPN his thoughts on whether he wants Westbrook to break his record:

“I’m rooting for him,” Robertson told ESPN.  “I hope he does it.”

Also, Robertson believes that no guard in the NBA can beat Westbrook one-on-one:

“I was talking to some basketball people the other night, and I said, I don’t think any of these guards can beat him on a one-on-one game.”

Furthermore, Robertson believes that Westbrook should be the MVP.

Should be interesting to see if the voters will agree with Robertson.
