Ex-Laker George on LeBron: ‘I think he’s going to bring one(championship) back before he leaves’
There have been many great players who have worn the Lakers uniform. Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, and now, LeBron James.
The one thing the above guys have in common is they have captured at least one championship in Los Angeles. As we know, the Lakers have and always will be about championships. The franchise has won 16 NBA titles.
So, how many titles will the Lakers win with James? According to former Laker Devean George, who won three titles with Los Angeles, James will get at least one with the Lakers.
“I think he’s going to bring one back before he leaves,” George told TMZ Sports. “He’s going to bring one championship back to L.A., but I think his statue is going to be somewhere else.”
I don’t think James wins a title this year with the Lakers, especially if the Warriors and Rockets stay healthy. However, if the Lakers can get their hands on Kawhi Leonard or another superstar next summer, they could probably get at least one with LeBron.
The Lakers have at least three years to build a championship roster(James signed four-year, $154 million contract, but can opt out in year four), so they have some time to get it right. However, James will turn 34 during the season, so you wonder how many years he can play at a high level.
Based on the competition in the Western Conference, and based on James’ age. One championship for LeBron should be considered a success.
Shaq admits to Kobe that he did not always work hard(watch)
Shaq and Kobe were one of the greatest duos of all-time. The two won three NBA titles together with the Lakers, and if they would have stayed together, could have won a few more.
Ultimately, Shaquille O’Neal was traded to the Heat where he would win another title. While Kobe Bryant would win two more titles, with the Lakers.
The two sat down and talked about their time together on NBATV’s Players Only.

Shaq does not believe in the Raptors(Watch)
The Toronto Raptors have the best record in the Eastern Conference. At this point, the Raptors look like a team that could make a long playoff run.
However, there is that guy(LeBron James) in Cleveland who might say otherwise. While the Raptors have the best record in the East, do you believe they could beat the Cavaliers four times in a series?
Based on the moves that the Cavs have made, Cleveland probably would still be the favorite in a seven-game series.
Hall of Famer and TNT NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal was a guest on ESPN’s First Take today and gave his thoughts on the Raptors:

Shaqtin’ a Fool? Shaq thinks Wizards’ Otto Porter plays for Kings
Hall of Famer and minority owner of the Sacramento Kings Shaquille O’Neal just had a “Shaqtin’ a Fool” moment. O’Neal, who is a NBA analyst for TNT, thought that Wizards F Otto Porter played for the Kings.
You see, Porter had offer from the Sacramento Kings this summer, but he did not sign. Ultimately, Porter would sign an offer sheet from the Nets, which was matched by the Wizards.
