Michael Cooper on LeBron: ‘He’s going to show the younger players what it takes to become a good player'(VIDEO)

The Los Angeles Lakers are a very proud organization. This team has won 16 championships, second only to the Boston Celtics(17). However, recently, the Lakers have had some struggles. Los Angeles has not made the playoffs since 2013, but that should all change now that LeBron James is in the fold. James, 33, signed a four-year deal worth $154 million with the Lakers this summer.

With James in the fold, the Lakers are looking to get back to their winning ways, which makes former Laker great Michael Cooper very excited about the possibilities:

“I think it’s going to be great. Obviously, Magic, Rob Pelinka, Jeanie Buss, the powers at be, are making the right moves,” Cooper recently said. “Will he win a championship this year with that team? Probably not, because you have to look at Houston and Golden State, but I think he was brought there for other reasons than to just try to win a championship. He’s going to show the younger players Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, (Lonzo) Ball, what it takes to become a good player in this league. What it take to become a championship team, so I think they’ll do some special things down there.”

The Laker have some decent young talent, and playing with James should only make them better.

Kuzma, Ingram, and Ball better get ready because the standard has been raised in Los Angeles.
