On Saturday, the Eastern Conference-leading Detroit Pistons got some good news.
Pistons forward/center Isaiah Stewart has been cleared to resume on-court basketball activities as part of his return to play process, the team announced on Saturday.
On March 17, the Pistons announced that the 24-year-old Stewart suffered a Grade 1 left calf strain.
He has not played since March 15.
This season, the five-year veteran is averaging 10.0 points and 5.1 rebounds in 55 games.
The Pistons (53-20), who are without their best player, Cade Cunningham (collapsed lung), return to action on Saturday when they travel to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves.
