Morant remains out with elbow injury

On Thursday, the Memphis Grizzlies announced that guard Ja Morant is progressing in his rehabilitation from a UCL sprain in his left elbow but continues to experience discomfort.

According to the team, Morant underwent follow-up imaging on Wednesday, which showed incomplete healing of the injury.

Morant will be reevaluated in two weeks, and further updates will be provided as appropriate.

The two-time All-Star sustained the injury against the Atlanta Hawks on January 21.

This season, in 20 games, Morant is averaging 19.5 points and 8.1 assists per contest.

The Grizzlies(23-38) return to action on Sunday when they host the Clippers.
