76ers sign Emoni Bates, three others to Exhibit 10 deals

The Philadelphia 76ers added Emoni Bates, Kennedy Chandler, Malcolm Hill, and Jaylen Martin to their roster, the team announced on Monday.

According to reports, these are Exhibit 10 deals, which are one-year, non-guaranteed contracts making the league minimum. The contract can be converted to a two-way deal, but this conversion must be made before the start of the regular season.

Bates, 21, appeared in 25 games over the past two seasons for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2023-25, averaging 3.1 points in 8.3 minutes. He produced a career-high 25 points and shot 7-of-15 from beyond the arc in 42 minutes against Indiana. In 50 G League contests over the last two seasons (including Tip-Off Tournaments) for the Cleveland Charge, Bates has produced 19.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 32.9 minutes per game. Prior to being drafted by the Cavaliers during the 2023 NBA Draft (49th pick), the Michigan native spent one season at Eastern Michigan (2022-23) and one season at Memphis (2021-22), 

Chandler, 25, joins the 76ers after recording 13.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 26.1 minutes per game over the past three seasons in the G League between Raptors 905 (2024-25), Long Island (2023-24), and Memphis (2022-23). The Tennessee native played in 36 games for the Memphis Grizzlies in 2022-23, averaging 2.2 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 7.8 minutes. Before his professional career, Chandler spent one collegiate season with the Tennessee Volunteers.

Hill, 29, last played for the Birmingham Squadron in 2023-24, averaging 22.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.9 steals in 46 games. The Missouri native spent parts of two NBA seasons with Chicago and Atlanta from 2021-23, averaging 3.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 9.2 minutes across 24 contests. Hill has played in 100 career G League contests with Birmingham and Windy City, producing 18.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 33.7 minutes. 

Martin, 21, appeared in 16 games between Brooklyn and Washington in his first NBA season in 2024-25, averaging 4.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 14.9 minutes. He has also spent the previous two seasons playing in G League action, averaging 12.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 74 games with Westchester, Long Island, Delaware, and Capital City. Before his professional career, the Florida native played for the YNG Dreamerz in Overtime Elite.

The 76ers begin training camp on September 27 and will tip off preseason action with two contests against the New York Knicks in the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025 at Etihad Arena. These games will take place on Thursday, October 2 (12 p.m. ET) and Saturday, October 4 (11 a.m. ET).
