Oleksandr Usyk(24-0, 15 KOs) is an undisputed heavyweight champion once again after a dominant performance against Daniel Dubois(22-3, 21 KOs). Usyk dropped Dubois twice and stopped him in the fifth round at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday night, solidifying his status as a force to be reckoned with in the heavyweight division.

With the win, Usyk, who had the WBA, WBC, and WBO titles, captures Dubois’ IBF title and becomes the undisputed heavyweight champion for the second time in his career.

The 38-year-old Usyk stopped Dubois in their first fight in 2023. That fight sparked controversy after Dubois landed a low blow, which dropped Usyk. Some felt that punch was legal, but it was ruled a low blow.

However, there was no controversy in the rematch.

During this fight, Usyk did a great job of countering Dubois. While the 27-year-old Dubois threw more punches(179) than Usyk(153), the Ukrainian was more accurate, as Usyk landed 57 punches, while Dubois landed 35.

Usyk would drop Dubois with a left hand in the fifth round. Dubois would get up, but he was hurt. Usyk would put the fight away with a vicious left hand. Dubois would attempt to get up, but the referee called off the action.

What is left for Usyk? He has beaten Tyson Fury twice, Anthony Joshua twice, and now Dubois two times, and those are probably the three best heavyweights in boxing. He could fight Joseph Parker, who has racked up three straight impressive wins, but he probably beats him as well.

Usyk is an all-time great, and we must start viewing him as such after this win.
