Clippers’ Leonard named Western Conference Player of the Week

LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has been named Western Conference Player of Week for games played from Monday, March 31, through Sunday, April 6, the NBA announced Monday.

This is Leonard’s 10th Player of the Week Award, and his fourth time winning with the Clippers.

During the week, Leonard led the Clippers to a perfect 4-0 record, behind averages of 24.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.75 steals. The Clippers were the only team in the West to go 4-0 last week, and won their games by a combined 79 points, the largest point differential in the NBA during that span.

The six-time All-Star recorded four 20-point performances last week, and has now scored 20+ points in a season-high 12 straight games (3/11 – 4/5), his longest streak since 2021.

In his 13th NBA season, the six-time All-NBA player has appeared in 34 games for the Clippers, averaging 21.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals. The Clippers have won four straight and 14 of their last 17 games.

The Clippers(46-32) return to action on Tuesday night when they host the San Antonio Spurs.
