On Monday, Turki Alalshikh and The Ring Magazine announced their first boxing card, which will take place in the USA in May 2025.
The card includes the following three fights:
Ryan Garcia-Rolando Romero
Devin Haney-Jose Ramirez
Martin Bakole-Efe Ajagba
According to Turki Alalshikh, further details about the venue and the exact date will be announced later.
Garcia(24-1, 20 KOs) last stepped into the ring on April 20, 2024, where he secured a victory over Haney by unanimous decision. However, Garcia’s win was marred by a positive test for the banned substance Ostarine, leading to the fight being declared a no-contest. He was subsequently fined and suspended for a year. Garcia was scheduled to fight an exhibition fight in Japan, but he had drop out due to a wrist injury.
Romero (16-2, 13 KOs) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Manuel James back in September.
Haney(31-0, 15 KOs) has also not fought since last April; he should have a fairly easy night against Ramirez, who lost to Arnold Barboza Jr. by unanimous decision in November.
If Haney and Garcia both win, the two are expected to battle at some point in 2025.
Bakole(21-1, 16 KOs), who has won his last ten fights by stoppage since being stopped by Michael Hunter in 2018 and defeated Jared Anderson by TKO last August, will battle Ajagba(20-1, 14 KOs), who has won five straight, including a split decision win over Guido Vianello last April.
