On Monday, the Memphis Grizzlies announced the following medical update on star guard Ja Morant:
The 25-year-old has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, which occurred during the Grizzlies’ game against the New Orleans Pelicans on December 27.
According to the team, he is considered week-to-week, and further updates will be provided as appropriate.
Morant had season-ending surgery in January to repair a labral tear in his right shoulder last season.
This season, the two-time All-Star is averaging 21.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per contest.
Memphis(22-11) is playing some good basketball right now. They have won four of their last six. The Grizzlies continue their five-game road trip in Phoenix against the Suns on Tuesday night.
