Cavs forward Isaac Okoro sustained a right shoulder AC joint sprain, the team announced Thursday.

According to the Cavs, Okoro will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks, following a series of treatments and rehabilitation. His status and return to basketball activities will be updated as appropriate.

The fifth-year forward sustained the injury during the third quarter of the team’s win over the Nets on Monday night.

This season, the 23-year-old, who signed a three-year, $38 million contract in the offseason, is averaging 6.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. He’s a defensive force for the Cavs, and he will be missed on the defensive end of the court.

The Cavs (23-4), who have the best record in the NBA, return to action on Friday night when they host the Milwaukee Bucks(14-11).
