This week, Eagles starting quarterback Jalen Hurt was held out of practice on Wednesday due to rest.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni may have let the cat out of the bag on Friday regarding why Hurts did not practice on Wednesday.
“Yeah, he was dealing with – it was on the injury report, dealing with the ankle,” Sirianni said when asked about Hurts not practicing on Wednesday. “You know, just making sure we’re precautious with everything.”
When asked further about Hurts’ ankle, Sirianni said it was rest, not the ankle.
According to ESPN, Hurts has been dealing with a mild ankle issue for a couple weeks.
In 2021, Hurts battled an ankle injury that caused him to miss a game late in the season. When watching him on the field, it appears his ankle is fine, but at this point of the season, every player is dealing with some type of injury.
Philadelphia (6-2) travels to Dallas(3-5) on Sunday to play the Cowboys.
