On Tuesday, the San Antonio Spurs announced that forward Jeremy Sochansuffered a fracture in the proximal phalanx of his left thumb in the second quarter of Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Sochan is scheduled to have surgery this week. The team will provide updates as appropriate.
This season, in seven games, the third-year forward is averaging 15.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per contest.
The Spurs(3-4) return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Houston to battle the Rockets(4-3).
