Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts just got another weapon.
On Thursday, the Eagles made a significant move, acquiring former first-round pick wide receiver Jahan Dotson and a 2025 fifth-round pick from their division-rival, the Washington Commanders, in exchange for a third-round pick and two seventh-round picks from the 2025 draft.
This could be a game-changer for the Eagles. Philadelphia has had a hard time finding a third wide receiver to compliment A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and they may have found it with Dotson.
Last season, in 17 games, the 24-year-old had 49 catches for 518 yards and four touchdowns, and as a rookie, Dotson had seven touchdown receptions.
The third-year wide receiver is an upgrade, and if anything were to happen to Smith or Brown, the Eagles would have someone who could step right in and still be effective.
The Eagles are stacked on the offensive side of the ball and should have no issues putting up points in 2024.
Philadelphia finishes up the preseason on Saturday when they host the Minnesota Vikings.
