Durant, James leads Team USA to win over Serbia

The American Men made their 2024 Paris Games debut against Serbia on Sunday. With so many stars on the roster, you will see exceptional performances from different guys throughout the tournament.

Against Serbia, it was Kevin Durant, the USA’s all-time leading Olympic scorer. When Durant entered the game in the first quarter, the team trailed by five. Team USA ended the opening frame on an 11-1 run behind six points (2-2 3FG) from Durant. He took over in the second, scoring 15 points to finish the first half with 21 points (8-8 FG, 5-5 3FG) in nine minutes played.

Ultimately, Team USA would pull away in the second half and defeat Serbia 110-84.

Back to Durant, the three-time Gold Medalist finished with 23 points (8-9 FG, 5-5 3FG, 2-2 FT) in 17 minutes. He became the first player in USA Basketball history to shoot 100% from deep with five-plus attempts.

LeBron James also had a big-time performance for Team USA, adding 21 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists. Jrue Holiday chipped in with 15 points, including 3/3 from deep.

Team USA had no issues with Serbia when they defeated them 105-79 at the USA Basketball Showcase in Abu Dhabi, so this win and how they won on Sunday were not surprising.
