The Washington Wizards have re-signed forward Anthony Gill, the team announced on Thursday.
No word of the terms of the contract.
Gill, 31, appeared in 50 games (three starts) last season. He averaged 3.8 points and 1.9 rebounds while shooting .469 from the field.
He has appeared in 179 games (15 starts) in his four seasons in Washington, averaging 3.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
Before signing with Washington, Gill played for BC Khimki in Russia (2017-2020) and Yeşilgiresun Belediye in Turkey (2016-2017).
The Charlotte, N.C. native was named the recipient of the Washington Wizards E.B. Henderson Team Award in April 2024, marking the second time he has been named the winner (2023-24; 2021-22). He received the honor for his work in the Washington, D.C., community. In addition, Gill was recognized as one of five finalists for the 2023-24 J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award.
Gill is a solid guy to have in the locker room and around Washington’s young talent.
