Tobias Harris is back in Detroit. The Pistons officially announced the signing of free agent forward Tobias Harris on Monday.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, it’s a two-year, $52 million deal.
Harris returns to Detroit, where he played and led the Pistons to the Eastern Conference Playoffs in 2016 during his three-season stint from 2016 to 2018.
Last season, Harris appeared in 70 games and averaged 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 33.8 minutes per game for the 76ers.
The 31-year-old spent the last six seasons (2019-24) with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he averaged 17.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting 48.8% from the field and 36.9% from 3-point range in 378 games.
Harris, with his 13-year veteran experience, gives Detroit another scorer and a much-needed veteran presence for J.B. Bickerstaff and the young Pistons.
