On Thursday, Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley has been suspended four games without pay for forcefully throwing a basketball multiple times at spectators and an inappropriate interaction with a reporter during media availability.
Beverley’s actions occurred during and after the Bucks’ 120-98 loss to the Indiana Pacers in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series on May 2 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The 35-year-old will serve the four-game suspension at the beginning of next season.
To Beverley’s credit, he has since apologized to the ESPN reporter involved in the situation.
The Bucks acquired the 11-year veteran before the trade deadline in February. This season, he averaged 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per contest.
