The Detroit Pistons have signed forward/center Taj Gibson to a 10-day contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
Gibson, 38, most recently appeared in 16 games with the New York Knicks this season.
The 15-year NBA veteran and has appeared in 961 career games (450 starts) for Chicago, Oklahoma City, Minnesota, New York and Washington.
The No. 26 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Gibson holds career averages of 8.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 23.5 minutes per game. Gibson appeared in 71 career playoff games and averaged 7.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 22.3 minutes.
Detroit returns to action on Thursday when they host the Brooklyn Nets.
