Vikings extend FB C.J. Ham

The Minnesota Vikings have signed FB C.J. Ham to a two-year contract extension, the team announced on Friday.

The 29-year-old Ham, a two-time team captain for the Vikings, was entering the final year of his contract.

Ham, who is a great blocker and a decent pass catcher, made the Pro Bowl in 2019.

The seven-year veteran has appeared in 96 games with 33 starts, all with Minnesota, totaling 610 yards and two touchdowns on 70 receptions and 97 yards and three touchdowns on 36 rushing attempts in his career.

The Duluth, Minnesota, native originally signed with the Vikings on May 10, 2016 as an undrafted free agent after attending the team’s rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. Ham attended Division II Augustana University.
