The Philadelphia 76ers signed C Willie Cauley-Stein to a 10-day contract, the team announced Thursday.
This season, Cauley-Stein averaged 1.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 18 games with the Mavericks. The 28-year-old last played on November 27. Cauley-Stein, who was out due to personal, was released by Dallas in January
The seven-year veteran played for Sacramento, Golden State, and Dallas during his career.
Cauley-Stein has shot 50-percent-or-better from the field in each of his six professional seasons, including his rookie season where he was named to the All-Rookie Second Team.
After trading backup center Andre Drummond in the Ben Simmons trade, Philadelphia needed another big man, and hopefully, for the 76ers, Cauley-Stein can be that guy.
