Bol, Forbes headline three-team deal between Celtics, Nuggets, Spurs

In a three-team deal, the San Antonio Spurs send guard Bryn Forbes to Denver, while Boston acquires Bol Bol and PJ Dozier from the Nuggets, and the Spurs receive F Juancho Hernangómez and cash considerations from the Celtics, along with a protected 2028 second-round pick and cash considerations from the Denver Nuggets, the teams announced Wednesday.

Hernangómez has appeared in 18 games for the Celtics this season. Originally selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Nuggets, Hernangómez, 26, has played for three teams in his six-year career.

Forbes, 28, saw action in 40 games for the Spurs this season, averaging 9.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 16.9 minutes.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Bol Bol, 22, has decided to undergo surgery on his foot and be sidelined for 8-to-12 weeks. Bol was recently traded to Detroit, but the deal was voided last week because of an issue with the physical exam.
